As has been the case for the last few months, there's not a whole host of exciting news to share with you. The film is at that stage where it's more about little fiddly things that need doing instead of massively exciting updates. We're currently waiting for some compositing to be finished (thanks Chris) and then we'll be creating the credits sequences. In the meantime James and I are sourcing music that we think we can get the rights to - to replace the temporary soundtrack we've used in the edit - that we know we can't get the rights to!
The last two/ three weeks has seen 3 trips to the fantastic Mayfield Studio where Mark Jobson has been photographing the lads so we can create the OFFICIAL (eek) poster! It's looking good and we should be releasing it pretty soon. We also got our first press when the team at Sky Tyne and Wear stopped by Mayfield Studio to cover our photo shoot - check it out here. We had hoped to have done the cast and crew screening by now - we even had a tentative date booked (4th July) unfortunately something came up that I couldn't shift - and so I had to postpone the screening. Once I get some more time, I'll endeavour to book another. Anyway enough from me for now. Hopefully we'll have some more exciting news soon.

I was just looking at our Google Analytics data just now, checking the search terms that brought people to the website. What I saw amused me, among the usual "stagg do", "stagg do trailer" etc was "bensham is shit" - this made me laugh! Not because it is shit, you understand, I mean I do live here!!! But it made me laugh because I knew I had the photograph above - and I've been waiting for a context to use it for ages! Isn't it class? A photo of the writer and director looking like he's gonna lick some poo???
The thing that gets me with seo is this: I feel like I'm tricking people. I mean I don't want someone finding this site when they are looking for stuff about Bensham being shit. Or do I? |
